Freedom of Information Act 2000
The Council is committed to providing as much information about its
services as possible. A new Model Publication Scheme has now been adopted by
the Council in line with the Information Commissioner's Office
recommendations. The Council has also produced a guide to the information it
publishes. This document
lists all information to be published and how members of the public can
access it. It is envisaged that much of the information will be available on
this website but where this is not possible hard copies can be provided at a
minimal charge.
All requests for information will be dealt with in accordance with the
procedures laid down in the Act

Hire of Council Chamber
The Council Chamber can be hired by organisations. The Chamber seats up
to 12 people and is available during normal office hours. The charges are £15
per hour for the room itself. Refreshments can be supplied at an additional
cost as can a digital projector and screen. Please contact the Clerk
for details.Use of the Chamber is free to Community and
Voluntary Groups. |
Allotments
Oakham Town Council owns four areas of allotments in the town. These
are
on Kilburn Road, Burley Road, Elm Close and at Willow Crescent.
The allotments are managed on the Town Council's behalf by three
allotment societies and their details are: Kilburn Road:

As there has been considerable interest over the last few years
in allotments, there are small waiting lists for each allotment
area. However, the Town Council would ask that if you are interested
in maintaining an allotment then please still contact one of the
people listed above who will be able to advise you on how long you
may have to wait. They will also be able to advise you on the rent
you can expect to be charged.
